Consider it this way, The Brother LC73 cartridges have approximately 25mls of usable ink inside. Brother cartridges retails for around $40 for the black and $27 for each of the colour cartridge (prices correct as of May 2012 via officeworks online*)

Our CISS is prefilled with 400ml of Rihac ink and is equivalant to approximately 16 Brother cartridges which would cost you about $592.00 to purchase seperately.
