Sorry, but I\'m now having second thoughts on this system. After a few weeks I found that the lines were getting air so I raised the tanks 10mm at a time after taking them out and \'replenishing\' them as per the manual. Now there was a slight over ink and the printer got a bit wet. Cleaned up and reduced height to what is level with the printer head and goes dry again.
I think I\'ll go back to the standard cartridges for a while until I figure this out. Good idea but not working out very well.
****Note from RIHAC tech team
Sorry Steve, we were not aware of any issue until we read the review. When you get a chance contact our tech team on (03) 9005 5555 (open 10-5pm mon-fri). The issue you describe is a relatively simple fix and is just a matter of re-priming the unit and removing ink from the balance tubes. Raising the CISS unit actually increases the issue because if you think about it air in a cartridge cannot escape and lifting the CISS simply forces ink out of the head. The air sits at the top of the cartridge and does not go away until re-primed. Please contact our tech staff as we can definitely guide you through the process but again we were not aware of the issue until reading the review which makes it difficult to help.
