*The chip resetters require power via a USB cable. Chip resetters work for a pre-determined number of resets only, once that number has been exceeded a new chip resetters would need to be purchased.

IMPORTANT PRE-PURCHASE INFORMATION
There are important considerations to make before purchasing this particular CISS system.  The system utilises single use chips which can be reset using the rihac chip resetter. **These chips are fitted with a non-user replaceable battery. Once this battery is dead (typically 6-12 months) the chip will need to be replaced (replacement chips available for purchase here). Currently there is only one chip manufacturer in the world and the only alternative is to use the OEM Brother chips. The OEM chips can be removed from the genuine cartridges and do not have a battery. We also offer a refillable cartridge option for this printer (you can view our refillable cartridge options here)
Which Ink do I need?

rihac now offers two types of ink. Our original Premium Platinum Dye Ink and the new Photo Pro Pigment Ink. Photo Pro Pigment Inks are the top of the tree in photographic inkjet inks. With professional photographers in mind we set out to produce an enhanced pigment ink which fit the following criteria:

  • Commercial quality light fastness
  • Resin Encapsulated
  • Produces the full Adobe RGB gamut
  • No metameric failure
  • No bronzing
  • Scratch resistant
  • Heat/Age particle swelling minimized

Faq

What ink is in the genuine Brother cartridges?
The genuine Brother cartridges contain pigment ink.
What is the difference?
Pigment inks produce sharper text with less bleed and have a significantly better UV fade life.
Can I mix pigment and dye inks?
No. Mixing pigment and dye can damage your print head and Inklink system.
Can I change from dye ink to pigment ink?
Yes. However you cannot mix the inks. We recommend changing the entire system.
How do I know which ink I have in my Inklink?
Dye inks have a transparent look while pigment inks look more like a milkshake.
IMPORTANT PIGMENT AFTERCARE!
Installation for pigment systems is recommended withing 1 to 2 weeks of purchase to stop the system un-priming and reduce the chance of blockages, Printers using any form of pigment ink require regular use, more so than a dye ink printer. The formulation of pigment inks is complex and allowing a printer to remain inactive for prolonged periods can result in changes to the ink formulations fine balance.
